For US customers:
All books, DVDs and VHS tapes ship for $5.95 each, with $2.00 for each additional book or movie ordered. (Standard media group)
Rate quoted is for Media Mail; Priority Mail is calculated based on weight.
Single CDs cost $5.95 for shipping with $1.00 for each additional CD on the order. All CDs ship Media Mail.
If you order CDs in addition to books/DVDs/VHS tapes, you pay the base shipping price for CDs, plus the base shipping price for the Standard Media Group, with discounted shipping on additional items of the same type. For example, if you ordered:

Your U.S. Media Mail shipping charge would be:
$6.95 for the CDs ($5.95 for the first, +$1 for the second)
$5.95 for the book
$2.00 for DVD (because it is the second item purchased from the Standard Media Group.)
Total Shipping Charge: $14.90
Non-media items are assigned a flat rate for Parcel Post shipping based on weight; please see individual listings for rates. Due to postal regulations we cannot combine Media and non-media items and ship at the lower Media rate. Please place separate orders for these products.
Items shipping to a Minnesota address are subject to a 7.375% sales tax on both the item and the shipping fees.
For International customers:
We charge actual cost for shipping, plus $1 for packing materials. Final shipping charge is based on the total weight of the package.
Shipping rates are automatically calculated once you enter either your zip code or country on the shopping cart page. Please contact us if you have any questions about shipping.

How do you ship?
We ship most orders within 1 business day of receiving cleared payment.
Books over $9 are shipped in an archival plastic bag, wrapped in bubble wrap, then boxed. Books $9 or less are placed in a waterproof poly bubble mailer or padded mailer. Some Priority Mail and International Priority Mail books may ship bubble wrapped in a cardboard flat rate envelope, but only if we feel the book is safely protected from damage using this method. CDs ship in a cardboard CD mailer. All items shipped in the US include complimentary Delivery Confirmation service; after your package is in the mail we will e-mail you with a shipping notification and the Delivery Confirmation number. Please make sure that the "ship to" address on your order is a MAILING address, as we use the U.S. Postal service for shipping all our items.
How long will it take to get my order?
For U.S. orders, we ship Books, CDs, software, VHS tapes and DVDs via Media Mail. It is the most inexpensive method of shipping, but also the slowest - generally 3-7 days delivery time, but occasionally up to 2 weeks. If time is of the essence, please select Priority Mail shipping, which generally takes 2-3 business days to receive from time of mailing. If you are in Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, or any other U.S. territory or protectorate, or have an APO address, Media Mail means your item will ship via surface (i.e., boat) and could take a month or more to arrive. Please consider upgrading to Priority Mail for your items.
International orders generally take 7-14 days if shipped International First Class; 5-10 if shipped Global Priority Mail. Italy seems to consistently take a month or more for delivery, regardless of the method used. Delivery can be delayed by customs, weather events, strikes, and higher than usual shipping volume, so be sure to order well in advance if your order is time sensitive. Any duty charged is the responsibility of the buyer.
International buyers, please note: For many countries, there is no tracking service available for packages sent through the U.S. mail. Buyers assume all risk once the package has been mailed. We will not issue a refund under any circumstances for non-delivery if the item is uninsured. We have had hundreds of successful deliveries using the mail service and it continues to be the most economical option. If you must have a tracking service available for your package, please contact us PRIOR TO PURCHASE and we will research the cost for UPS or FedEx. It will be considerably more expensive than the mail prices quoted in our listings. BUYERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL DUTIES, FEES, and VAT. You may have to pay this at your local post office or customs office. We will not issue a refund for items that were returned because they weren't picked up or because the additional fees were refused.
Whether your package is going across town or to the other side of the world, we do everything we can to get your order shipped quickly, packaged and labeled so the Postal Service can handle it efficiently. But obviously, we can't control the speed of delivery once the package has left our hands. Please allow extra time around holidays for delivery.
Can you insure my package?
Yes - in fact, we recommend it, especially for international orders. We insure all packages through a third-party carrier (not the US Postal Service), which is backed by Lloyds of London. This makes insuring your order very affordable. The cost of insurance is based on the combined price of your item(s) and shipping charge. Insurance covers both the cost of the item and the shipping and handling cost in the event of damage or loss in transit. Please contact us immediately if you need to file a claim on your insured order; there is a limited window of time that claims can be filed.
Please note: We do not issue refunds for packages that have not been delivered or damaged in transit without insurance coverage. If the Delivery Confirmation data on the US Postal Service's web site shows that the item has indeed been delivered to the address on the order, no claim for non-delivery will be filed. If your item has been reported as delivered and you cannot find it, we recommend checking with family members or roommates to see if they picked it up for you, neighbors, and/or building managers. Also look in unusual delivery places - between the front door and a storm door, next to a step, etc. If a box is too big to fit in a mail box, carriers sometimes deliver the item to an alternate location in or around your residence.
Do you ship overseas?
We DO ship to APO/FPO addresses, but please contact us prior to ordering about your shipping options. While we upgrade shipping where we can, books are heavy and most will be shipped Media mail unless you choose to upgrade the shipping to Priority Mail. Media Mail to APO/FPOs means your book will travel by boat; expect at least a month for delivery. We strongly recommend you choose Priority Mail service.
We ship items every week to countries all over the world. International shipping to selected countries is offered on all our merchandise; please contact us for a quote.
Generally, we will ship to Canada, most European countries, Australia, New Zealand, and much of Asia. We do not ship to Africa, much of South and Central America and most of the Middle East, with the exception of Israel. We will not ship to the following countries: Afghanistan, Algeria, Angola, Bangladesh, Barbados, Benin, Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Burma, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Cuba, Djibouti, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Liberia, Libya, Malaysia, Mali, Mauritania, Mexico, Morocco, Myanmar, Niger, Nigeria, North Korea, Oman, Pakistan, Papua/New Guinea, Poland, Romania, Russia, Rwanda, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Slovenia, Solomon Islands, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Syria, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Ukraine, Yemen and Yugoslavia.
