Green cloth cover with circular color paste down of two water babies playing in a foamy wave. Title, paste down frame and author/illustrator's names are embossed in gilt on front cover; gilt is bright and sharp. Title, author's and publisher's names stamped in gilt on spine; slightly dulled. Some light foxing to front and back endpapers; vintage book plate affixed to front free endpaper but no name is present. Light wear to spine ends and corner tips. Some spotting to cloth on inside fore edge of back cover. Binding is firm and square; hinges are solid. Outstanding illustrations throughout.
