Notes: Original 10-volume set, published in 1912. Each volume has gilt page edges, hand-marbled endpapers, black embossed covers. Spines are gilt embossed with brown panels. General condition is quite good for age, with expected wear to extremities. Bindings are tight and square. Some damage found: 5 volumes have varying amounts of moisture staining on back edge of front free endpapers, with light moisture rippling on the following pages. Volume 9 has moisture staining and light rippling on top corner and fore edges in middle of book, affecting about 1/3 of the pages. No stuck together pages. Volume 3 has moisture rippling at top corner, affecting the last 30 pages or so. Volume 1 has tears top and bottom next to hinge on front free endpaper. Sold as-is; still presents well in spite of condition issues.
