Notes: Two volume set in slipcase. Previous owner's name penned on corner of half title pages, else unmarked text. Cover corners are square, bindings are tight. Dark blue cloth cover has some fading and mottling on spine. Slip case, which includes the attached ribbon for easy removal of the volumes, has wear and some exposed boards at opening edges. Mild surface wear and scuffing. Gilt embossed spines. Front label is intact with light edge wear. Original promotional flyer, order form, and the duplicate copy of the money order is laid in. Total of 852 pages contain 360 full-page paintings, 64 double-page spreads. Volumes measure 11" x 14" and are printed on 60-lb. and 80-lb. stock. Heavy, oversize set.
