Notes: Solid copy with no writing or marks to text. Binding is firm. Wear and fading to cover edges. Jacket is present, but in poor condition, with significant edge chipping and tears, some of which have been tape-repaired. Heavy fraying to flap creases, and spine of jacket has aged to brown. Jacket has been taped to cover of book. While not a pretty copy, its contents is an interesting study of the history of typography and letter forms through the mid-twentieth century. Also of note is the introduction by typographic legend Frederic Goudy, and forward by poet and artist Louis Grudin.
