Notes: X-library HARDCOVER book published by SKIRA, 1969. Printed in Switzerland. Book has had a liberal amount of tape applied to mylar and jacket, which has yellowed. Mylar was too short for jacket, leaving the bottom edge exposed and allowing some wear and short tears. Library sticker on jacket spine, a second on the back cover on the mylar. Library pocket, "withdrawn" and date stamps on the front end paper. Library stamps to top edge of book. Other minor flaws. Beautiful color plates tipped in throughout. This is a big, impressive book, and in spite of its cosmetic flaws, is a fantastic overview of 20th century American art up to 1969. A wonderful reference, priced appropriately for its condition.
