Notes: Volume 2 of a two-volume set. Clean copy of this early aviation book. There are a few margin notes and underlines, but majority of the text is unmarked. Binding is firm and square. Maroon buckram cover is generally in very good condition, with light wear at square corners, but there is a dulled area on the front cover running vertically down the front, that starts to the left of the title, and wraps around the spine. Some clear has also dripped across the title area on the front, but the gilt title is still sharp and bright. Gilt type on spine is dulled and worn. Back cover has a series of seven triangular-shaped indentations running parallel to spine. Some wear to spine ends. Still presents quite well. No dust jacket. Previous owner's name written on half title page. 931 pages, plus a 19 page index. There is a catalog of the publisher's books in the back of the book, some of which have corners that were creased in the bindery process and cut in that position.
